Reconstruction of Upper Piluwa Khola-2 Hydropower Project Progressing Rapidly
Menchhiyam Hydropower Ltd is making significant strides in the reconstruction of the Upper Piluwa Khola-2 Hydropower Project (4.72 MW) following the destructive flood that hit the site in Asar 2081 B.S.
Despite the setback, civil works have now been fully completed, and hydro-mechanical components are nearing final installation. Electromechanical works are also in full swing, with turbine and generator setups actively progressing on-site.
The company expects to complete all installation works by the end of Magh 2081 B.S., after which testing and recommissioning activities will begin. The project aims to resume power generation in the early months of 2082 B.S.
